I moved to the Charleston area from Lake in the Hills Illinois ( a Chicago suburb) in April 2017.   My husband received a job offer in Charleston.  We rented for a few months in North Charleston and bought our home in September 2017.  Perfect timing since that time our home has appreciated at least 35%!

I live in Summerville with my husband Tim three cats and one dog. I found our house on Facebook!  The owner was holding an open house.  We saw the pond view from the yard and the extra parking pad and said “SOLD”

I took real estate classes shortly after I moved here and passed the real estate exam by October 2017.  I’ve heard it’s not easy to pass but I went in with the attitude that I would only take the test once! It probably helped that I had 13+ years of mortgage servicing experience and 2+ years of appraisal management experience.  Those were two chapters of the classes I already had down. My experiences selling our home in Illinois and buying one in Summerville taught me things as well.

Since becoming licensed I have utilized all the available resources to learn as much as possible about real estate along with my extensive customer service background to offer the best service I can to my clients.  Every two years we are required to complete continuing education which I usually complete a year ahead of the renewal. I attend as many new construction builders events as I can to keep up with any new developments in the Charleston area. I also keep informed of neighborhood events through local Facebook groups.

The real estate market has changed significantly in the past few years so my career is always interesting.
